About the research group
The Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) is a biomedical research center participated by the Bellvitge University Hospital and the Viladecans Hospital of the Catalan Institute of Health, the Catalan Institute of Oncology, the University of Barcelona and the City Council of Hospitalet de Llobregat.
IDIBELL's research focuses are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine; research, innovation and society are the pivots on which researchers work every day in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.
IDIBELL is located in Hospitalet de Llobregat, south of Barcelona. The center is accredited as a health research institute by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III; he is also a member of the International Excellence Campus of the University of Barcelona HUBc and of the CERCA institution of the Generalitat de Catalunya. It has also received the 'HR Excellence in Research' logo from the European Commission.
The Cancer Immunotherapy Group is integrated in the Procure-Oncobell Unit. It is dedicated to develop new therapies focused on immunotherapy and on translational research, characterizing the response to treatment and tumor microenvironment.
About the role
The candidate will be responsible for developing transnational research, including:
Sample processing and characterization.
Molecular and cellular biology techniques such as flow cytometry, sorting, DNA and RNA extraction, cell selection, functional assays, cell culture.
Database entry and maintenance.
Job requirements
Professional experience
- At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in a translational laboratory working in immunology and/or immunotherapy.
Education and training
- CFGS in lab technician or related with life sciences.
Technical & soft skills
- Experience in flow cytometry, sorting, functional assays detecting T-cell reactivity will be highly valued
- Knowledge on bioinformatics regarding gene expression analysis will be a plus.
- Capabilities of working independently and extreme focus on results is essential.

Languages
- Good command of the English language
