ICO-L'Hospitalet is a leading hospital in cancer clinical research. Its Clinical Research Unit (UIC) has actively participated in 612 clinical trials throughout 2023, with 663 patients choosing to enroll. These trials often investigate cutting-edge therapies for cancer, with investigators specializing in the latest advancements in treatment modalities. The UIC boasts top professionals dedicated to conducting even the most challenging clinical trials.
About the role
- Responsible for setting up and managing our institutional computer application that oversees nursing and lab technician activities
- Manage the stock of sample kits through the application
- Participate in training activities and mentor other team members involved
- Provide support to other lab technicians with their daily tasks
Job requirements
Professional experience
- Experience in processing samples for oncology or hematology cancer clinical trials
- Proficiency in using computer applications for managing blood samples
Education and training
- CFGS in Laboratory Technician
- Training in Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
- IATA Certification
Technical & soft skills
- Proficiency in Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and internet browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge)
- Experience managing patient files
- Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and performing various tasks with an understanding of their impact on the final outcome
- Ability to empathize with different perspectives and offer assistance
- Capable of working effectively under pressure
Languages
- Good command of the English language
We will value, but not require
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences
- Experience in cancer clinical trials
- Familiarity with SAP Argos Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Previous experience with clinical trials applications
