About the research group
The Nephrology and Renal Transplantation research group's interests encompass a wide range of areas, including immunology, renal replacement therapy, transplantation, chronic kidney disease (including diabetic nephropathy), and regenerative medicine. Our research is primarily translational and collaborative, with the aim of enhancing the care and health outcomes of patients with kidney diseases. Our ultimate objective is to innovate in disease monitoring and therapy, integrating basic science with clinical expertise to advance personalized medicine in Nephrology.
About the role
- Maintenance, handling, and experimentation with renal mouse models.
- Collection and management of primary biological samples (human and mouse).
- Isolation and maintenance of primary cell cultures.
- Histology techniques for human and mouse tissues (paraffin embedding, cryostat sectioning, immunohistochemistry, etc.). Assessment of histopathological parameters.
- Immunoassay techniques (e.g., ELISA) and protein isolation and detection via Western blot.

Professional experience

Experienced in mouse breeding and colony maintenance

Experienced in mouse renal experimental models, including acute and chronic models

Skilled in handling biological material, both clinical and laboratory, and techniques in cell cultures under sterile conditions

Proficient in histology and Western blot techniques

Experienced in molecular biology techniques

Knowledgeable in office automation at user level, including systems and database usage
Education and training

CFGS related to pathological anatomy, immunology, or cytology

Training related to mouse renal experimentation
Technical & soft skills

Office automation knowledge at user level, including system and database usage

Basic proficiency in the Excel program

Responsible, organized, methodical, and a team player
