About the unit
IDIBELL, in collaboration with ICO-L'Hospitalet hospital, serves as a reference center for clinical research in cancer. Its unit (UIC) has actively participated in 596 clinical trials in 2022, with ongoing recruitment or current activities, attracting 681 patients to participate. Many of these trials evaluate the most promising cancer therapies, and investigators involved are specialized and stay current with the latest advancements in new treatments. At the UIC and UFF1 subunits, the most skilled professionals conduct the most demanding clinical trials.
About the role
- Integration into the UIC and Functional Phase I teams, as well as the investigator’s teams, for data entry purposes
- Training, completion, and correction of Case Report Forms
- Providing support to investigators and implementing electronic tools
- Recording trial and patient information into clinical and research applications
- Completing SAE reports
- Resolving queries
- Communicating with sponsors and CROs
- Preparing for and attending monitoring visits, audits, and inspections

Education and training

Senior Technician in Health Documentation and Administration

Training in clinical trials

Certified training in Good Clinical Practices
Technical & soft skills

Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Knowledge of clinical trials case report forms

Organizational skills to plan and execute various activities, understanding their impact on the final outcome of a process

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and provide assistance to others

Capability to work effectively under pressure
Languages
We will value, but not required
- University degree in Life Sciences
- Previous experience in data management or coordination of cancer clinical trials
- Familiarity with SAP ARGOS electronic medical record systems

Our institute
IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV).
