Cardiovascular Diseases Research Group (BIO-HEART)
Biomedical Research Group on Heart Disease BIO-HEART is a renewed emerging group part of the Program of research in inflammatory, chronic and degenerative diseases at the IDIBELL (Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute). It comprises health professionals associated with the management of cardiovascular diseases, as basic postdoctoral researchers, clinical cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, specialized nurses, community family medicine professional and cardiologists specialized in imaging techniques for diagnosis of coronary artery disease and heart failure. The majority of the professionals are part of the Hospital Universitario de Bellvitge and first care community area DELTA. BIOHEART background is a strong clinical network of senior researchers in heart failure and coronary diseases working on multidisciplinary teams that have transferred the scientific knowledge outputs obtained from previous research projects to redesign the care of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
About the role
Do you want to be part of our Cardiac Rehabilitation team. We are looking for a study coordinator for a 2-year project in our Territorial Secondary Prevention and Cardiac Rehabilitation program at Bellvitge University Hospital. Our Rehabilitation unit is made up by multidisciplinary team of Cardiologists, advanced practice Nurses, Rehabilitation Doctors, Nutritionists, physiotherapists, and more than 200 patients complete physical retraining per year. The program is currently growing, and several research projects are currently underway. Job requirements
Professional experience
Education and training
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine, with specialisation in cardiology, or Nursing
- It is MANDATORY to have the homologation of the cardiology specialty or nursing in force in Spain or the European Union area
Technical & soft skills
- Interest in cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
- Fundamental understanding of clinical research and proficiency in data analysis
- Valid medical license for practice in Spain
Languages
- Good command of the English and Spanish languages
We will value, but not required
- Experience in Rehabilitation or Preventive Cardiology Programmes
- Conversational Catalan (or willingness to learn it)
