About the research group
The Scientific and Technical Services at IDIBELL provide scientific-technological support to the research community, with state-of-the art equipment and highly qualified and specialised personnel. We offer comprehensive services, including experimental design, assay execution, data acquisition, and analysis. We also adhere to proper maintenance and standard quality control procedures to consistently deliver high-quality results.
The Molecular Interactions platform specialises in characterizing molecular interactions, discovering biomarkers, and studying metabolism. Our technologies include surface plasmon resonance, biomarker immunodetection, real-time metabolism measurement in cells and, a spatial omics platform, among others.
The Flow Cytometry Platform is equipped for flow cytometry analysis and cell sorting. Common applications routinely performed include cell sorting, multicolor immunophenotyping characterization, viability assays, cell cycle and proliferation assays and fluorescent protein analysis.
About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated technician to join the IDIBELL Scientific and Technical Services and to give support and perform the following tasks:
- Sample preparation and processing, running assays and data acquisition and analysis using the different technologies of the platforms
- Assisting users in experimental design, setting up new protocols, and preparing new SOPs
- Provide researchers and users of the platform with training courses of the different equipment of the platforms
- Laboratory, equipment, reagents and stocks maintenance
- Work following good laboratory and scientific practices

Professional experience

Working with biological samples

Working in a biomedical research or facilities/analysis laboratory

Strong background in molecular biology and protein analysis techniques

Expertise in flow cytometry
Education and training

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as biomedicine, biochemistry, chemistry, biology or related disciplines

Languages
We will value, but not required
- Master's degree in Life Sciences or related fields
- Experience in immunoassays
- Experience in handling flow cytometers and flow cytometry analysis softwares
- Experience in working with proteins and RNA
- Experience in single-cell analysis
- Basic knowledge/experience in histology and imaging analysis
- Basic knowledge in biostatistics
- Knowledge in GLPs/BLPs
