About the research group
Nephrology and renal transplantation
The Nephrology and Renal Transplantation group's interests span a broad field, ranging from immunology, renal replacement therapy, transplantation, chronic kidney disease, including diabetic nephropathy, and regenerative medicine. Its research is primarily translational, collaborative and aimed at improving the care and health of patients with kidney disease. In the area of Regenerative Medicine, its vision is to develop new therapies and treatments for acute and chronic kidney disease by controlling inflammation and activating endogenous regenerative mechanisms or by using renal progenitor cells.
About the role
• Collection and handling of human and murine biological samples
• Perform cell isolation, primary cell culture and related techniques
• Apply histological techniques to human and murine tissues
• Perform immunoassay techniques (like ELISA) and protein isolation and detection by western blot
Job requirements
Professional experience
- Highly qualified experience in advanced kidney histological techniques
- Preclinical and translational research, including management of human samples
- Cell culture
Education and training
- CFGS in laboratoy or clinical diagnosis
Technical & soft skills
- Immunohistochemistry, UPLC
- Management of primary cell cultures and FACS (cell-sorting techniques)
- Analytical and critical thinking
- Ethics and integrity, information seeking
- Flexibility, social and teamworking ability
- MS Office knowledge
Languages
- Good command of the English language

Selection process

Our institute
IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
