About the research group

The ProCURE Program conducts high-quality, cross-disciplinary and multidisciplinary research on therapeutic resistance in cancer, with the aim of improving clinical care in oncology. Its research lines focus on investigating the mechanisms underlying therapeutic resistance, as well as developing and evaluating strategies to prevent and/or overcome resistance to current treatments, including chemotherapy, anti-angiogenic therapies, and targeted therapies.

About the role

We are offering a master technician position to work on a new research project focusing on the study of the molecular mechanisms of progression and resistance in cutaneous melanoma. Main tasks:

• To perform research procedures using patient samples, and in vivo and in vitro models and analyze and present the results.
• To participate in research meetings, national/international conferences and elaboration of scientific publications.

Job requirements

Professional experience

• Candidates must be graduated phD with experience in cellular and molecular biology and in the generation and work in vivo patient derived models for cancer

Education and training

•  PhD degree in Cancer (solid tumors) 

Technical & soft skills

• Previous experience in cellular and molecular biology.
• Previous experience in PDX mouse models and FELASA accreditation
• Teamwork skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail

Languages

• Good command of the English language

We will value, but not required

• Work Experience in Bioinformatics

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
