About the research group

The Oncology Data Analytics Program (ODAP) was formed in 2019 answering the needs of the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) and IDIBELL for a unique program covering the genomic cancer research, bioinformatics knowledge and resources to support the institute in oncological data handling, analysis and research. By applying state-of-the-art bioinformatic tools and analysis, the program reaches its main objectives in cancer prevention and early detection of cancer. The program is divided in three subunits: Bioinformatics for Precision Oncology, Oncology Outcomes and Biomarkers and Susceptibility Unit. About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated documentalist for research. The selected candidate will work on the GEUS-COMPASS project (CPP2024-011358), funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCI) and awarded to the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), through the 2024 Public-Private Collaboration Challenge Projects call.

The candidate will mainly carry out the following tasks:

• Input of parent data into a parent data database (REDCap, Access, etc.)

• Input of data into an eCRF database.

• Review of medical records in the SAP

• Preparation and distribution of medical supplies for field studies.

• Help with saample collection and storage protocol in the laboratory

 

Job requirements

Professional experience

  • Knowledge / experience in the Catalan Health information system.
  • Knowledge / experience in extracting and interpreting health data from cancer patients: staging, treatments, outcomes.

Education and training

  •  Technician in Health Documentation or related health degree with minimum qualification of CFGS. 

Technical & soft skills

  • Computer knowledge of the databases REDCap and Access
  • Use of SAP-argos electronic health records system

Languages

  •  Knowledge of Spanish or Catalan languages

 

We will value, but not required

  • Descriptive statistical analysis and data tabulation.
  • Good command of the English language will be valued.

Our institute

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
