About the research group

ICO-L’Hospitalet is a reference hospital for the clinical research in cancer. Their two units (UIC and UFF1) have been participating in 602 clinical trials with active recruitment or with current activities during 2024 and 707 patients decided to participate in them. Many of these trials are testing the most promising therapies in cancer and investigators involved in them are specialized and up-to-date with the latest advances in new treatments. The IT department supports this cutting-edge research with specialized tools in the field of clinical research and prevention. Our commitment to excellence and multidisciplinary collaboration has led us to be recognized both nationally and internationally.

About the role

We are looking for a .NET Programmer Analyst attached to the IT Services department of the ICO, specialized in C# development for assistance projects in a web environment. The candidate will participate in the planning, development and monitoring of the evolutionary aspects of a clinical trial management project, guaranteeing delivery in time and quality. To be in charge of setting our institutional computer application that manages the nursing and lab technician activities.

Main Functions:

  • Work closely with the internal customer in order to define requirements and achieve solutions
  • Web programming (C#, javaScript, jQuery and Angular)
  • Application Database Management (MS SQL Server)
  • Development and consumption of Web Services
  • Git version control
  • Experience in Unit Testing
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in programming

 

Job requirements

Professional experience

  • At minimum of 1 year in similar positions.

Education and training

  •  Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent degree in the field of Information Systems. 

Technical & soft skills

  • Web programming (C#, javaScript, jQuery and Angular)

  • MS SQL Server

  • Git version control

  • Experience in Unit Testing

  • Organisational capacity

Languages

We will value, but not required

  • Technical capacity in development in reporting tools and Ensemble integration environments.

 

  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

 

  • Experience in continuous integration systems

 

  • Experience and knowledge in the areas of e-prescribing, pharmacy management and nursing

 

  • Focus on continuous improvement, information security and regulatory compliance in healthcare environments.

 

  • Experience in agile project management methodologies

 

  • Intermediate level of English

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV).
