About the research group
Colorectal cancer
The Colorectal Cancer (CRC) research group, led by Víctor Moreno and Ramon Salazar, is focussed on discovering and validating new molecular signatures for diagnosis, prognosis and prediction, and identifying and optimising new therapeutic targets and molecular classifications of CRC, using an integromics approach, combining knowledge of genetic epidemiology, data bioinformatics and pharmacology.
About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated professional with a background in nursing, biology, biomedicine or a career in life sciences. The selected candidate will support the colorectal cancer group in the de-velopment of the following tasks:
• Internal management of biological samples for the different studies, (saliva, blood, etc)
• Management and shipment of samples to various recipients involved in the studies.
• CRD filling of different studies.
• Identification, registration and follow-up of the patients included in the translational or clini-cal studies in which the team participates.
• Organization of agendas to request the samples that correspond to each study at a certain time.
• Introduction of patients in the corresponding database according to the study.
• Help to complete, later collect and register questionnaires for patients included in the studies.
Job requirements
Professional experience
- Experience in translational research as well as clinical trials will be an asset.
Education and training
- Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedicine, or some degree in Life Sciences.
Technical & soft skills
- Office package
- CRFs
- Medical and scientific bibliographic search
Languages
- Good command of the English language
We will value, but not required
- Approved and current the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) course.
