About the research group

The IDIBELL Systemic Diseases and Aging group studies the impact and treatment of systemic diseases (ie diseases that affect more than one organ) from a clinical and epidemiological perspective. His area of expertise includes the fields of autoimmune, autoinflammatory and immunodeficiencies. This group studies these diseases from basic research, with cell and animal models, to clinical research, as a model of translational medicine.

 

About the role

• Collaborate in obtaining data of COVID-19, autoimmune diseases and immunodeficiencies studies.

• Collaborate in performing ELISA, neutralization tests, cytokine analysis and flow cytometry

• Collaborate in analyzing the data of the different studies

• Collaborate in the presentation of the results to congresses

• Collaborate in realization of the publications that will be generated

 

Job requirements

Professional experience

  • Biologist experience in biomedical research, including laboratory techniques, data analysis, and support in the preparation and dissemination of scientific results.

Education and training

  • Higher Vocational Training (CFGS) in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory, Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis, Laboratory Analysis and Quality Control, or similar fields.
  • Higher Education in Biology, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related Life Sciences fields will be considered an asset.

Technical & soft skills

  • Know how to use Word, Excel, Access sofwares

Languages

  • Good command of the English language

Our institute

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
