About the research group

The Human Resources Area at IDIBELL brings together Talent, People Management and Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) functions to define and implement a comprehensive HR strategy, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives and the applicable regulatory framework.

 

About the role

IDIBELL is seeking an Human Resources Director to lead the Human Resources Area from a strategic and transversal perspective.

The selected candidate will be responsible for defining the direction of the area, coordinating the Talent, People Management, and Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) teams, and ensuring the consistency, quality, and compliance of HR policies and processes.

This role combines leadership of the Talent function with the overall oversight of People Management and PRL, acting as a key internal reference and a strategic partner to senior leadership.

The position also includes preparing regular reports for the General Management, supporting decision-making through key indicators and monitoring the main initiatives within the area.

The Head of People will ensure alignment across all HR functions with the organization’s strategic objectives, driving an integrated, efficient, and results-oriented approach.

 

Job requirements

Professional experience

  • Experience in Human Resources, preferably in positions of responsibility
  • Experience coordinating or leading teams
  • Experience defining and implementing HR strategies and policies

Education and training

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field
  • Specific training in Human Resources and Labour Relations 

Technical & soft skills

  • Strategic mindset and decision-making capability
  • Leadership and team coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to operate in complex environments
  • High level of accountability, sound judgment, and confidentiality
  • Specific rol must work within agreed budgets
  • Ability to wok both on your own and in a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • It must be proactive an resilient

Languages

  • Professional working knowledge of English
  • Spanish and/or Catalan required

Our institute

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine. Research, innovation and society are the pivots on which researchers work every day in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.
