About the unit

The Purchasing and Public Procurement Unit manages the process of acquiring goods and services from the initial request to their delivery and the execution of the public procurement circuits as established in the legal system.

 

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing and Courier Service Administrative to join the Purchasing and Public Procurement Unit, reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager. The role involves ensuring the accurate implementation of puchasing plans in accordance wiht the department head's directives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Mantain a constant update of articles, products, and suppliers in the ERP system, along with the maintenance of the unit's online store
  • Provide support to the purchasing unit and ensure the proper execution of rules and procedures
  • Ensure the accurate presentation of necessary documentation for order processing, entry of delivery notes for materials, and management of claims and returns to ensure efficient service
  • Resolve incidents related to purchasing or courier services
  • Aassist in the preparation of public procurement files
  • Coordinate the courier service
  • Serve as a backup for the goods reception service, including order requests, knowledge of delivery points, and incident resolution

 

Job requirements

Professional experience

  • Minimum of 1 year, preferably in a scientific or research organization


Education and training

  •  CFGM in the administraive field


Soft skills

  • Interpersonal skills


Languages

  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in both Spanish and Catalan
  • Good command of the English language

 

We will value, but not required

  • Professional experience providing support to the purchasing unit, managing buyers' needs, liasing with suppliers, and doing courier services
  • Teamwork, organizational and planning skills, analytical and logistical aptitude, computer proficiency and tech savviness, interpersonal communication, and numerical proficiency in Mathematics
