Infections of the Respiratory Tract and in Immunocompromised Patients

The HIV and STI Unit of Bellvitge University Hospital was created in 1985, when the HIV-AIDS pandemic began, Currently, The Unit cares for 1900 patients and has an extensive experience in clinical research consolidated for more than 30 years. During all these years the HIV Unit has been involved in many national and international clinical trials and has promoted several clinical trials and research projects of their own. The extensive research activity has led to more than 300 scientific publications in high impact factor journals.

 

About the role

We are looking for a person to work as a manager in clinical trials and clinical research studies in a competent and growing research group. For this reason, we offer a position to develop the following functions:

    -   Providing support to individuals involved in clinical trials and clinical research studies

    -   Informed consent obtaining

    -   Participants recruitment

    -   Performing study procedures

    -   Adverse events notifications

    -   Collecting clinical and study-related information from participants involved in the study

    -   Providing investigational products to participants

    -   Treatment adherence monitoring

    -   Analysis and presentation of results

    -   Participating in meetings with monitors and study coordinators

    -   Scheduling visits and study procedures

    -   Participating in audits and inspections of studies

    -   Attending investigators' meetings

    -   Developing scientific publications

 

Job requirements


Professional experience

  • Clinical researcher with participation as subinvestigator in clinical trials and research projects
  • Experience as a physician
  • Experience in clinical practice in HIV and infectious diseases


Education and training

  •  Bachelor's degree in Medicine 


Technical & soft skills

  • Knowledge of the pathology of HIV and STI


Languages

  • Good command of the English language
