About the research group
The Talent Unit is responsible for coordinating the entire talent lifecycle at IDIBELL, from talent attraction, recruitment and onboarding to professional development, evaluation and recognition. The Unit manages selection processes and designs training and development initiatives based on the institution’s needs, supporting employees throughout their professional journey.
The Unit also coordinates institution-wide strategic projects, including the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), through which IDIBELL is committed to implementing the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
About the role
The Talent Specialist will support the selection and recruitment processes, contributing to the design of job offers, candidate sourcing through databases and social media platforms, conducting interviews, and acting as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers. The role will also provide support in employee onboarding and internal mobility processes, including document management, data entry, document preparation, and coordination of different interview processes.
The successful candidate will contribute to promoting IDIBELL’s employer brand and organisational culture, becoming part of a highly interdisciplinary team within the People Department.
The Talent Specialist will also support the design, implementation and follow-up of training and development activities and programmes for IDIBELL professionals, contributing to the achievement of established objectives and standards, as well as the development of new initiatives.
Main responsibilities include:
- Supporting the identification and assessment of training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, trainers, and user representatives.
- Supporting the organisation and implementation of training programmes, covering both soft and technical skills (including logistics coordination, purchase requests, registrations, communication, reporting, etc.).
- Coordinating internal seminars at IDIBELL.
- Scheduling and conducting onboarding and orientation processes for new hires across local teams.
- Supporting the employee exit process.
- Preparing reports and providing analytics related to people metrics.
- Proactively identifying improvement opportunities and assessing the employee experience to develop and implement innovative solutions.
Job requirements
Professional experience
- At least 1 year of professional experience in Human Resources, with a focus on recruitment and selection processes.
- Experience conducting different interview formats (e.g., telephone, video conference and structured interviews).
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate job requirements.
- Knowledge of training and development activities, including their design and implementation, will be considered an asset.
Education and training
- CFGS related labour relations, administration or similar.
Technical & soft skills
- Curiosity, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to continuously expand knowledge are key attributes for this role.
- Adaptability to different stakeholders and working environments, together with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Solid understanding of Human Resources practices.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 and database management.
- Familiarity with different multimedia training platforms and methodologies.
- Ability to evaluate and research different training options and alternatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Languages
- Advanced level of English proficiency, with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Native proficiency in Catalan and Spanish.
We will value, but not required
- More than 1 year of professional experience in Human Resources, with a focus on recruitment and selection processes within a research institution or the healthcare sector.
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Labour Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
