About the research group
The aim of the Talent Unit is to promote IDIBELL's mission and vision through programs to develop human potential, from selection and recruitment, onboarding and mentoring, to training and professional development, mobility and promotion.
The unit coordinates strategic projects of institutional scope, including the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), by which IDIBELL undertakes to implement the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. It also manages the training and career development program, as well as the Ambassador and JubiBell programs.
About the role
The Talent Specialist will support the design and implementation of training activities, reinforcing goals and standards within our professionals and support the implementation of existing and new programmes.
The person will also be involved in the design of job offers, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews and serve as a go-between for candidates and hiring managers. The position will support all procedures related to the creation, development, implementation, and conduction of training and development programs for our professionals.
We would like to hire a highly motivated HR professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; customer-oriented attitude and with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. The selected candidate will promote our employer brand and IDIBELL culture by joining a highly interdisciplinary team at the People Department.
Main responsibilities include: Support in the assessment of training and development needs, through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and users’ representatives
Support in the organization and implementation of training programs, including both soft and hard skills (e.g., oversee logistics, purchase requests, registrations, communication, reporting, etc.)
- Coordination of internal seminars at IDIBELL
- Support in the selection and recruitment process for hiring and employee transfer, including background checks, shortlisting, data entry, document generation, and different interview models
- Schedule and conduct new hire on-boarding and orientation across local teams
- Support employee exit process
- Create reports and provide analytics related to people metrics
- Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience to develop and implement innovative solutions
Job requirements
Professional experience
- 1 year of working experience as an HR specialized in contracts
- Hands-on experience with various interview formats (i.e., phone, video
- conference, and structured)
- Ability to understand and explain job requirements
- Experience in the design and implementation of effective training anddevelopment activities
- Experience in employee relations
Education and training
- CFGS related labour relations, administration or similar
Technical & soft skills
- Curiosity, love for learning and extending the knowledge are keys to the role
- Knowledge of labour legislation and science laws
- Solid understanding of HR practices
- Solid computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft 365 and database management
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good written and verbal communications skills
Languages
- Good command of the English, Catalan and Spanish language
We will value, but not required
- 1+ year of working experience as an HR specialized in contracts at a research
institution - Studying a degree in Labour Relations, Administration or similar, or in
possession of it

Our institute
IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
