Auxiliary Support Technician - Cancer Immunotherapy

Ref.: 24-108_SS_RA

About the research group

The Cancer Immunotherapy research group focuses on pioneering anticancer treatments using oncolytic adenoviruses and other innovative immunotherapies. We are currently expanding our research to include a new line of investigation centered on CAR-modified NK and T cells for advanced cellular immunotherapy.

About the role

The ongoing research line focuses on designing new CARs (Chimeric Antigen Receptors) for cancer treatment. This development encompasses the entire process, from in silico CAR design to the generation of viral vectors, modification of effector cells, and validation in both in vitro and in vivo models.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the generation of lentiviral vectors encoding CAR constructs for producing CAR-NK cell therapy products.
  • Supporting the comparative analysis of CAR-NK therapies, evaluating classic CAR constructs against novel proposals through in vitro assays (cytotoxicity, activation via flow cytometry, and cytokine production via ELISA) and in vivo assays (using immunodeficient models with T-cell lymphoma tumors).
  • Aiding in the validation of a modular CAR system in CAR-T therapies, including thorough in vitro and in vivo testing.
  • Contributing to the development of modular T-cell activation systems based on tumor-specific TCRs.
