About the research group

Oral Health and Masticatory System research group: Our proposed dental treatment primarily focuses on tooth maintenance. Moreover, extensive research has underscored the critical link between oral health and overall well-being. Evidence suggests that oral infections can lead to systemic conditions such as arteriosclerosis, respiratory infections, and low birth weight in newborns. The remarkable advancements in dentistry have united four research teams, each contributing diverse perspectives to deepen our understanding of the intricate connections between dentistry and systemic diseases, as well as the interplay between the masticatory system and overall health.

About the role

Collaborating part-time (10 to 15 hours per week) with the Oral Health and Masticatory System Research Group provides a valuable opportunity to delve into the intersection of dentistry with broader health concerns.

Professional experience

• Dentistry experience

Education and training

• Bachelor of Dental Medicine or equivalent degree

Technical & soft skills

• Proficiency in managing patients with periodontal issues and conducting research involving patient care
• Strong understanding of statistics and adeptness in data management
• Demonstrated skills in communication, empathy, and patient management, which will be assessed during a personal interview

Languages

• Fluent in Spanish and Catalan with proficiency in English.
