About the research group

The project manager will be incorporated into the Digitalization for the Sustainability of the Healthcare System (DS3) research group, affiliated with IDIBELL. The group focus its research on the development, implementation, and assessment of digital health solutions for improving public health and healthcare delivery.

 

About the role

We are looking to incorporate a Project Manager at the Digitalization for the Sustainability of the Healthcare System research group to coordinate the participation of our research group into the EU funded project PIECES: “Towards large-scale adaption and tailored implementation of evidence-based primary cancer prevention programmes in Europe and Beyond” (GA: 101104390).
The main duties for this position are the following:

  • Coordinate the operational, administrative and management activities of PIECES project
  • Monitor the implementation of the project
  • Support the principal investigator and his research group in planning, producing, collecting and reviewing the deliverables and outcomes to ensure their timely delivery
  • Track all project related costs: keeping records on spending and preparing financial reports jointly with post-award office at IDIBELL
  • Engage in other research group activities needed such as identification of calls to apply, advice and support researchers in the preparation and submission of international competitive proposals as well as in all aspects of the granting process (approval, contract signatures, etc.)

 

Job requirements

Professional experience

  • Management of international calls and projects as well as knowledge of European Framework Programmes, NIH and other international funding programs


Education and training

  •  BSc/MSc in Life Sciences preferred 


Soft skills

  • Well-organised person with very good attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Team player with good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills


Languages

  • Good command of the English language

  • Experience in financial management of international competitive projects
  • Previous experience in a health/biomedical research environament
  • Motivated, pro-active and results oriented person

  • Estimated annual gross salary: 30.000 - 35.000 €

Our institute

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
