About the research group

Pneumology

Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Unit is a translational unit with some Research Projects ongoing. ILD-Unit was formed in 2008. Dr. Maria Molina-Molina & Dr. Salud Santos are the heads of the Lung Research group. Dr. Vanesa Vicens-Zygmunt is a pneumologist, principal investigator (PI) of some projects from the ILD-Unit and the PI of this job offer.

 

About the role

Evaluation of lung function, collection of biological variables, sample processing and support in carrying out experiments (molecular analysis), data collection, analysis and interpretation of results and writing scientific manuscripts.

At the ILD-Unit we need someone interested in the collection of biological variables, sample processing and support in carrying
out experiments (molecular analyses) performing them in the Experimental Pulmonary Research Laboratory (Campus Bellvitge-UB). On the other hand, we expect the candidate to collect data in a database, analyze and interpret the results; writing scientific manuscripts together.

 

Job requirements

Be 16 years or older and not have reached the age of 30 on October 16th.
At the start date of the contract, it will be an essential requirement to be registered as unoccupied job seekers (DONO) in the Public Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC).
At the time of starting the contract candidates cannot have worked at IDIBELL in the previous 6 months.

Professional experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in molecular analysis, collection of biological samples and fill in databases (like Excel)


Education and training

  •  University degree in Life Sciences 


Technical & soft skills

  • Friendly and hard working person


Languages

  • Good command of the Catalan, Spanish and English languages

 

We will value, but not required

  • Knowledge of molecular and cell techniques (molecular analyses, lymphocytes studies, flow cytometry...)
