About the research group

The Rare TumorS Lab group led by Dr. Barbara Rivera in IDIBELL’s Hereditary Cancer Program (HCP) at ICO-IDIBELL has longstanding interest and expertise in the study of rare tumors. In particular, we study paediatric and early onset tumors, with a special focus on benign tumors, an area of research that has been historically overlooked but that can have devastating clinical consequences for the patients and huge economic implications to the health care system.
