About the role
We are looking for a Psychologist to join our e-health program. Specifically, she/he will be involved in the “IBeCHANGE - ADDRESSING PSYCHOSOCIAL AND LIFESTYLE RISK FACTORS TO PROMOTE PRIMARY CANCER PREVENTION: AN INTEGRATED PLATFORM TO PROMOTE BEHAVIOURAL CHANGE” project, and the specific tasks will be:
1. Collaborate in the Creation and Refinement of the Behavioural Change Intervention: Collaborate in the development of a behavioural change intervention to be deployed through a mobile app and the professional intervention for those participants in need of extra support. These will be implemented in a pilot study and then fine-tuned for a more effective intervention in a larger scale Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT).
2. Train Healthcare professionals: Since the clinical studies will be conducted in three different European centres, staff from ICO-IDIBELL will lead the training of all healthcare professionals involved in the intervention. This implies preparing formative material and workshop training sessions to ensure consistency across all recruitment centres.
3. Contribute to Patient Inclusion: Directly recruit and enrol participants for the pilot study and the RCT. This includes working close with breast and colorectal cancer screening units of the Catalan Institute of Oncology as she/he will be in charge of obtaining informed consent and ensuring that ethical guidelines are followed throughout the inclusion process.
4. Digital Welcome and Onboarding: Carry out the digital welcome process for participants entering the study, collecting all required data at enrolment. This might involve creating resources and tutorials to orient participants about the study objectives, their roles, and what is expected from them. Ensure that participants are comfortable with the digital tools and platforms used for the study.
5. Deliver the behavioural change intervention: The experimental intervention includes support through a chat with a healthcare professional, and online sessions dedicated to address struggles with lifestyle behavioural change or emotional management.
6. Manage the Recommendation System to the target population. This could involve collaborating with IT specialists or software developers to ensure the system is functioning correctly, and participants can access and interact with it seamlessly.
7. User co-design: Conduct focus groups and professional interviews to gain insight on key functionalities and visuals for a more effective and more engaging intervention platform.
