About the research group
The Difficult to Treat Infections and Antimicrobial Use research group encompasses a diverse range of clinical and experimental research lines, all of which pose challenges in finding effective treatment and optimizing the use of antimicrobial drugs. In each case, the objective of the studies is to enhance antimicrobial medications, understand their mechanisms of action, and improve their efficacy against pathogenic organisms.
About the role

Conducting experimental studies to assess the antimicrobial effectiveness of antibiotics

Utilizing in vitro pharmacodynamic models to study biofilm infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria

Familiarity with in vitro pharmacodynamic methods

Proficient in microbiological procedures: bacterial cultures, determination of MIC values, bacterial biofilms, etc.

Knowledgeable about evaluating antibiotic efficacy and pharmacodynamics

Skilled in working in an experimental research laboratory

Proficient in database management programs

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV).
