About the research group
CuidalHfutur is a project co-lead by IDIBELL (Institut d’Investigació Biomèdica de Bellvitge) and IDIAPJGol (Institut d’Investigació en Atenció Primària Jordi Gol i Gurina) which main objective is to coordinate a collaborative institutional cohort study in the city L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (CuidalHFutur). The general objective of this project is to deepen, together with the public, the knowledge of the health status of the community of L'Hospitalet, and its determinants. We will identify risk factors associated with the appearance of relevant chronic diseases that allow us to design prevention and treatment strategies adapted to the characteristics of the community and evaluate their effectiveness. The Project Manager candidate will be expected to support the creation and development of the project from its inception. CuidalHFutur project is coordinated by Dr. Paula Jakszyn and Dr. Betlem Salvador.
IDIBELL is a research center in biomedicine promoted by the Bellvitge University Hospital and the Vila-decans Hospital, the Catalan Institute of Oncology, University of Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobre-gat city council. The institution is focused in research, innovation and society, the axes on which re-searchers work every day with the goal of improving the quality of life of citizens. At IDIBELL, Dr. Paula Jakszyn is a Principal Investigator who has built her career as a researcher in nutritional epidemiology and cancer for more than 15 years.
IDIAPJGol is a consolidated institute in the field of biomedical research in Primary Care, in Catalonia (Spain) and internationally, with 33 research groups. Dr. Betlem Salvador is the head of the Research Support Unit (USR) of the Metropolitana Sud area where study will be developed. She is the coordinator of the MARCEVAP Research Group (Malaltia, risc cardiovascular i estils de vida en atenció primària, Grup de Recerca consolidat acreditat per la Generalitat de Catalunya 2021 SGR 01543).
About the role
At IDIBELL we are looking for a motivated and experienced Project Manager to coordinate a collaborative institutional cohort study (CuidalHFutur) whose main objective is to deepen the understanding of the health status of the L’Hospitalet community and its determinants, in collaboration with its citizens. We will identify risk factors associated with the onset of relevant chronic diseases, which will allow us to design prevention and treatment strategies tailored to the characteristics of the community and to evaluate their effectiveness. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities:
• To set up the project from early stages, develop and coordinate the study
• Manage day-to-day operations of the cohort study.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (researchers, clinicians, data managers, etc).
• Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor study progress, risks, and deliverables.
• Liaise with sponsors, collaborators, and regulatory bodies.
• Report study results and updates to the coordinating team.
Job requirements
Professional experience
- Experience with cohort studies.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in project management.
- Strong understanding of clinical research processes, ethical guidelines, and regulatory re-quirements.
- Demonstrated experience in writing skills (grant proposals, etc).
Education and training
- PhD or MSc in Health or Social Sciences or equivalent (essential).
- Training in epidemiology and research methodology.
Technical & soft skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Languages
- Good command of the English language

- Experience in participatory and community settings projects
- Knowledge of the Catalan Health System.
