Predoctoral Researcher-Ext - Stem Cells and Neurodegenerative Diseases

Ref.: 24-097_R_AC

About the research group

The Stem Cells and Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Group primarily focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms driving the development of Parkinson's disease (PD). We utilize stem cells, including patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from idiopathic and familial PD skin cells, to unravel the processes leading to dysfunction and degeneration of brain cells in PD. Our research aims to elucidate these mechanisms and has been detailed in publications such as EMBO Molecular Medicine (2012), Nature Neuroscience (2013), EMBO Molecular Medicine (2015), and Stem Cell Reports (2019).
