About the research group
Unit of Nutrition and Cancer
The Nutrition and Cancer Group, is integrated in the Epidemiology, Public Health, Cancer Prevention and Palliative Care Program of IDIBELL. The group is located at the Unit of Nutrition and Cancer of the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO). The Unit has been involved in research on the relationship between lifestyle (diet, body composition, physical activity) and genetic factors with chronic conditions, with a special focus on nutrition and cancer. Most of the research of the group has been carried out within the framework of the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC), a multicentric cohort study including about half million participants. During the last decade there has been growing interest on the potential role of nutrition on the prognosis in cancer survivors. Within this framework we set up + ACTIU project, recently funded by Barcelona City Council and Fundation La Caixa , with the aim to co design promote active living intervention tagetting chronic disease participants (including cancer survivors ) from L´Hospitalet Area.
About the role
Researcher to carry out, together with the PI, all the tasks related to the fieldwork, organisation of the meetings of the research team, coordination of co-creation meetings between professionals and citizens as well as the interaction between the different partners and Areas of the Hopsitalet City Council He/she will also be involved in all the dissemination and diffusion tasks of the results of the study.

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV).
