About the research group

Psychoneurobiology of Eating and Addictive Behaviours

The candidate will be incorporated into the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge (HUB), within the Psychoneurobiology of Eating and Addictive Behaviours group of the Neuroscience programme. This group includes both the Eating Disorders Unit and the Behavioural Addictions Unit, which are part of the Clinical Psychology Unit at the HUB, and which have been officially recognised as national referral centres for difficult cases due to their high level of clinical activity. In addition, the group carries out cutting-edge research into the aetiology and treatment of these disorders, as well as new lines of research focused on neuroscience, with a significant scientific production and international presence.

About the role

The successful candidate will assist the research group with the collection, processing and management of blood samples. Will assist with clinical set up and preparation for study sample collection, including labelling of sample collection tubes and containers and inventory of required supplies.

Job requirements

Professional experience

• One year of relevant experience in nursing tasks; or equivalent combination of education-training and experience

Education and training

•  Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or educational equivalent)

Technical & soft skills

• Blood sample extraction and processing knowledge
• Teamwork, proactivity, results orientation, critical thinking and problem-solving

Languages

• Good command of the English language

• Experience of working in a research environment, especially with Eating Disorders
