About de research group

The Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) is a biomedicine research center participated by the Bellvitge University Hospital and the Viladecans Hospital of the Catalan Institute of Health, the Catalan Institute of Oncology, the University of Barcelona and the Hospitalet de Llobregat City Council. In 2017, the Barcelona Center for Regenerative Medicine (CMR [B]) began the deployment of the Catalan Regenerative Medicine Programme (P-CMR [C]) with IDIBELL.

IDIBELL´s research focuses are cancer, neuroscience, and translational medicine. Research, innovation, and society are the pivots on which researchers work every day in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.

IDIBELL is located in L´Hospitalet de Llobregat, in the south of Barcelona. The center is accredited as a health research institute by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III. It is also a member of the Campus of International Excellence of the University of Barcelona HUBci of the CERCA institution of the Generalitat of Catalunya. In addition, it has received the `HR Excellence in Research´ logo from the European Commission.

About the role

We are looking for a psychologist to join our e-health digital service. Specifically he/she will be coordinating a “Stepped and early psychosocial care in advanced lung cancer through eHealth: a randomized controlled trial”, and the specific tasks will be:

  • Recruiting advanced lung cancer patients to participate in the project.
  • Evaluating cancer patients and screening their psychosocial evolution through the e-health platform, as well as in a face-to-face modality.
  • Guiding and implementing psychosocial and educational interventions through the online platform and in a face-to-face modality.
  • Developing psychoeducational materials (in written and audiovisual format).
  • Data collection, management and coordination of the project´s processes, management and processing of scientific databases, statistical analysis and manuscript writing.

 

 

Job requirements

Professional experience

  • Experience in research, psychoeducation, and psychosocial assistance. Experience in the oncological field will be specially considered.
  • Working in interdisciplinary healthcare and research environments.

Education and training

  • To be in possession of a degree in Psychology.
  • Training in Psycho-Oncology will be specially considered.

 

Technical & soft skills

  • Command of softwares for statistical analysis such as: R, Stata, or SPSS.
  • Good Office Package skills.
  • Experience using online survey platforms such as: REDcap, Survey Monkey, or Qualtrics.

 

Languages

  • Good command of the English language

 

We will value, but not required

  • To be in possession of a Master´s degree in topics related with Health Psychology.
  • Good writing skills in English
  • Student training capacity
  • Creativity
  • Experience in psychosocial assistance through online platforms.
  • Proactivity and focus on results and solutions.
