About the research group

The IDIBELL Legal Services Unit is responsible for providing comprehensive support and cross-cutting advice on research to researchers, partners (ICO-Hospitalet, HUB, HV and CSI) and management to different departments / units of IDIBELL on legal issues, as well as data protection.

About the role

IDIBELL is looking for a lawyer to join the legal team whose role will be the preparation and review of contracts as well as giving advice and legal support to the Foundation and its partners.

Job requirements

Professional experience

• Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• Proven experience in civil law and preferably contract law

Education and training

• University degree in Law, Management and Public Administration or other Degree studies with a high content of legal subjects
• Minimum two years of experience in a legal related position
• Highly valued: Specific studies in Law in the health sector 

Technical & soft skills

• Ethics, honesty and involvement in the workplace
• Empathy, ability to work as part of a team and pro-activity
• Ability to work with a high volume of issues and manage resources
• Excellent ability of oral and written expression
• MS Office; Excel and Word.

Languages

• Good command of the English language

• Data protection and compliance expertise
• Experience in the in-house legal department of a company in the biomedical research sector

Our institute

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
