About the research group

Cardiovascular Diseases Research Group (BIO-HEART)

The Unitat de Gestió Funcional de les Dades continuously works on the improvement of the medical care through the use and analysis of high-quality data and information.

 

About the role

We are searching a data-driven professional with skills in clinical-data analysis and interpretation, in order to give support to clinical work and research. You will play a role in clinical and technological-research projects based on the use of data: support to clinicians on the development of research protocols, analysis and presentation of clinical and epidemiologic results, and statistical and methodological advising. Under the scope of the CCShared project, you will take part on the creation of a federated database, which will lead to the development and validation of federated cardiovascular-cancer risk prediction models.

 

Job requirements

Professional experience

  • Experience in data process and analysis


Education and training

  • Combinatory education (Bachelor's degree + Master's degree) oriented towards data analysis in clinical environments: Biostatistics, DataAnalists, Bioinformatics, DataScience, Biomedicine, Mathematics or similar 


Technical & soft skills

  • Comprehension of clinical and health environments
  • Proficient in Office Package, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of R and SQL programming languages
  • Knowledge of statistical tools: SPSS, STATA, SAS
  • Proficient communication skills with technical and clinical profiles
  • Ability to work effectively as a part of a team, decisive, and with good organizational and learning skills


Languages

  • Proficient of the Catalan and Spanish languages
  • Good command of the English language

 

We will value, but not required

  • Previous professional experience in a similar hospital work position
  • Knowledge of research projects protocols
  • Expertise in data analysis
  • Previous experience in statistical methods applied to research
  • Knowledge of Bussines Intelligence Tools (PowerBI)

Our institute

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
