About the research group
The PrETT group focuses on the study of novel therapeutic strategies in thoracic tumours combining basic molecular and patient-oriented translational research, bioinformatics, and also design and development of investigator-initiated clinical trials. We are a research group formed by both clinicians and basic researchers, with many international collaborations in both basic and applied research, the clinic and industry.
About the role
The candidate would investigate the molecular mechanisms of senesce and cell death that occur when mesothelioma cancer cells are depleted of specific nutrients, and when these cells are treated with drugs. She/he will analyse the effect of those proteins in cancer progression in cellular models.
Job requirements
Professional experience
- Experience in tissue culture and molecular biology techniques
- Background in immunology, cancer and/or signal transduction
- Experience in analysis software (Image J, Graph-pad Prism, …).
- Independent worker, who also accepts supervision.
- High capacities for problem solving and work management.
- Collaborative work skills.

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV).
