About the research group
Stem Cell Potency
The Stem Cell Potency group of IDIBELL’s Regenerative Medicine Program has longstanding interest and expertise in the generation, genetic manipulation, and directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells, as well as in advanced tissue engineering strategies.
About the role
The successful candidate will develop and test strategies for differentiation and large-scale production of myoblasts and myocytes from multipotent and pluripotent stem cells. The project will also use advanced tissue engineering technologies and large-scale cell expansion in suspension bioreactor/fermentor.
Job requirements
Professional experience
- Strong background in stem cell biology and/or regeneration
- Proven expertise in the culture, manipulation, and directed differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells
Education and training
- PhD in Health or Life Sciences: Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, etc.
Technical & soft skills
- Project planning
- Analytical and critical thinking
- Ethics and integrity, leadership
- Information seeking and management
Languages
- Good command of the English language
