About the research group
IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB) and the Viladecans Hospital (HV), located in south Barcelona.
The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience and translational medicine; research, innovation and society are the pivots on which researchers work every day in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.
IDIBELL is located in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, south of Barcelona. It is a member of the Campus of International Excellence of the University of Barcelona HUBc and part of the CERCA institution of the Generalitat of Catalonia. In 2009, it became one of the first five Spanish research centers accredited as a health research institute by the Carlos III Institute of Health. More recently, the European Commission has recognized IDIBELL with the HRS4R logo (Excellence in Human Resources in Research), which identifies IDIBELL as a provider and supporter of a stimulating research work environment.
About the role
The candidates will be involved in a research project funded by La Marató de TV3 that aims to personalize prevention of endometrial cancer in Lynch syndrome. The candidate will perform state-of-the-art aproaches, including organoids, fluorescent lineage tracing, single cell transcriptomics among others to understand the role of missmatch repair chenes in endometrial regeneration.
The successful candidate will join the group of Dr. Guiu, which belongs to the Program of Regenerative Medicine at IDIBELL.

Job requirements
Professional experience
- Bachelor and Master in Health Sciences: Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, etc.
Education and training
- Background and interest in epithelial tissues
Technical & soft skills
- Certificate for handling mouse models, single cell sequencing in wet and dry lab, experience working with organoids and with confocal microscopy
- Team player, capacity to work autonomously, project planning capacity, analytical and critical thinking, ethics and integrity and information seeking
Languages
- Good command of the English language
We will value, but not required
- Any expertise in bioinformatic data analysis is a plus.
- Expertise in flow cytometry is a plus.
- Expertise in sequencing approaches is a plus.
