About the research group
IDIBELL Competitive calls Department provides support to researchers throughout the lifecycle of competitive research projects to contribute to the leadership of IDIBELL in biomedical research.
The international Unit is in charge of the comprehensive management of international competitive grants.
About the role
The main duties for this position are the following:
- Advice and support researchers in the preparation and submission of international competitive proposals as well as in all aspects of the granting process (approval, contract signature etc)
- Support researchers in the writing and consortium building tasks of coordinated proposals.
- Identification of funding opportunities and resolution of calls.
- Collaboration in the organization of infodays, training sessions for the scientific community etc.
- Communication with funding agencies and national contact points.
Job requirements
Professional experience
- Previous experience in pre-award management of international calls as well as knowledge of European Framework Programmes, NIH and other international funding programs.
- Well-organised person with very good attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Team player with good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Education and training
Technical & soft skills
- Experience in scientific writing
Languages
- Good command of the English language
- High level of English (C1/Certificate in Advanced English or equivalent).• Knowledge of Spanish or Catalan is desirable.

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
